So it was a little fun to mix it up, but with a little warm water it didn't take long. You can easily set how much water your aquarium needs per day. Without daily dosage, it's a bit difficult. Not unattainable, just a little harder to get the right dose. I was a firm believer in real seawater changes, but when the company I bought mine from changed the filtration method and started adding synthetics, I changed and noticed the difference. So I went with Kent first, then we cut. Both products are good, but each day they become more difficult to dose. Easy to use when correcting Cal or Alk, but daily dosing was no fun. Then I tried Balkrief. I liked that better, but there were no small trace elements in it. Then I discovered esv! My corals started taking on colors that I haven't seen since using real seawater to replace the elements. It was such a pleasure to add the esv metering pump for me. And after about three weeks in my aquarium I had reached ionic balance. Now my buddy's aquarium, the construction took about 2 months. (He dosed Mon-Fri when he was in his office). I checked his water weekly and made adjustments accordingly, but it took longer to reconcile the two-day dosing gap. It took him a while to get it right, but he was never able to achieve ionic balance until he got the Dispenser. So yes, I can absolutely recommend esv.
