Delamination less than a year

Today I received the wheels, mounted the Conti, mounted pads and wheels, set the gears and in the morning I'll be ready to go. I put the wheels on a straightener and they were almost perfect. I'll update after my first ride and when they've racked up a few thousand miles. November 4, 2017 First ride on wheels. The only difference from my 37 mil alloy wheels was road damping and maybe a small change under acceleration. I believe they will make a difference on longer trips. I only rode 46 miles today as I had to pick up a travel package. Will update the date again after a few rides. December 5, 2017 I now have 700-800 miles on my wheels. I took them out a few weeks ago and put them on the dresser. I tweaked the settings a bit and they are perfect now. While removing the wheels, I removed the boots from the bearings and added more grease. I suggest adding more grease as my bearings were low on grease. The wheels are still rolling! I removed the hub and it was full of water and rust. Everything cleaned, wheel and wheel bearing lubricated. The inner wheel bearing is shot. I will contact the seller to see if they can tell me what size the hub bearings are. The bike is back on the bike. After lubricating and cleaning it didn't work. Bearing sizes for IMPLIED Powerway R13 hubs: rear: 2x6802 15.00x24.00x5.00mm and 2x6902 15.00x28.00x7.00mm, front: 2x699 9.00x20.00x6.00mm25 On March 18th I replaced the bearings with ceramic hybrid bearings from Boca Bearing . You ride well. I had to realign and calibrate the wheels. I'm not sure what kind of cheap hub this is. The wheels roll. Yesterday I had a 32 mph bike with the wind blowing on my back. The bike didn't slow down. Braking at that speed takes quite a while to slow down. Now I understand why the pros choose disc brakes. 2 May 2018 (updated) approx. Now on wheels 5500km. I finished the metric and the nipple on the rear wheel broke. Looks like cast aluminum. I think I'll buy spokes and nipples and rebuild the wheel. 09/19/2018 The wheels are less than a year old, have done 14,000 km and are peeling on the braking surface. I live on fairly level ground, just changed the original pads about 2 months ago. I don't know if they should or not. However, using it for less than a year doesn't seem good. September 21, 2018 returned the wheels, said I would get a full refund, they charge a $72 restocking fee, why? The returned wheels are only suitable for the garbage, they delaminate. $72 will not be refunded, they said, because more than 30 days have passed. Guarantee in the same year.

Pros
  • High quality assembly
Cons
  • Requires bushing
