Review on πŸ”§ Topeak Mini Pro 20 Multi-Tool by Rick Everett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

LOVE this tool! best in sports

This instrument is very well made - you can feel the quality. It's also incredibly small at 1.5 inches wide and just under 3 inches long, smaller than a credit card and about half an inch thick. The weight is 153 g or 5.4 oz. I always have a multi tool with me when I ride, I even completely disassembled my bike, cleaned it and reassembled it with my little 8 tool. But it's really old and has 8 tools. This one weighs just a few grams more than my old one and has 20 tools including a chain tool. I never thought I would need a chain tool until I was near a bike shop on a group tour across the country and one of the group broke the chain. He fixed his chain and got back on the road very quickly. I haven't used a chain tool on the road yet, but the guys at my LBS gave me an old piece of chain to play with. It's not as easy as it looks in the youtube video, I wish I had a longer piece to hold on to for more leverage, but I'm sure I can fix my chain down the road , when it breaks. The only thing I can't figure out is that this tool has a tire changer on it - to me it's a useless addition to a perfect tool - it must be heavy, it's metal and could damage the rim. I would recommend going with plastic levers, don't rely on that metal lever.
