This guard works well on the front hitch on my 2015 Silverado 1500. The front hitches reduce ground clearance and departure angle. Thus, this anti-slip shield perfectly protects the front linkage and minimizes the edge of the front linkage when driving off-road. It sticks out about 1/2 inch more than if it were flush with the hitch. It would be possible to drill another hole for the pin, but personally I'll leave it as is. So if a car hit me or I hit the high curb instead of the bumper, it could take the brunt of the slip.
