I bought a very nice but inexpensive computer desk with matching cheap keyboard drawer slides. The drawer never opened smoothly and I had to be careful not to press down too hard when typing or using the mouse. However, after two months of use, the splint simply broke. So I bought these slides and noticed a complete difference in quality. I had to punch a hole in each rail to match the screw holes on the table, but it was worth it for the drawer to open easily and cleanly. By using longer, heavier screws to attach the wooden top to the rails, I also don't have to worry about putting pressure on the keyboard.
