Shoei RF-1400 in protective gear

Includes the same parts as the original Sena 20S Evo box I previously purchased. Many details that I will never use seem like a waste of time. Of course everything is included in the kit except for the communication unit itself. It took two people and at least an hour to figure out how to do it (maybe a little swearing) to install the clamp on the Shoei RF-1400. The design of the helmet does not allow using the clip or sticker in the usual place where these devices are attached. We ended up installing the rectangular handle of a small tool (trowel) and twisting it between the seam of the shell and the interior material to create a gap to get the mostly screwed conch shell into position along the edge. We then had to use a small spatula to make room for the allen wrench and some thin needle tips to finish tightening the clamp screws. It exits the mount at an odd angle, causing the Sena to slide a bit tight. We used one of the extra rubber washers to place between the helmet and the plastic mount that fits the helmet to even out the angle. Now everything works great. It was painful and required a lot of effort.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
