Some reviewers use soapy water to install the grips. I used the tried and true method of installing handlebar grips on bikes, spraying the inside of the brake handle liberally with 70% isopropyl alcohol and spraying the brake handle as well. Isopropyl itself is very "slippery" so the grip can slide without much effort, and the alcohol eventually evaporates and secures the grip. Nice job but to protect the bike's top tube in case the handlebars wobble. This way the crank cover touches the frame instead of the metal arm hitting the frame which could damage the bike's paintwork.
