Review on 🔪 Enhance Precision and Versatility with Freud SD208S 8" Stacked Dado Set for All Saws by Kyle Brown

I am new to woodworking and needed a dado set. This can be a big investment so I made sure to read lots of reviews before making my decision. Although this dado set is more expensive than many other sets, I chose this Freud 8" Stacked set because of its reputation, quality and reviews. I almost went with another brand that was about half the price, but I kept coming across people who said they wished they had spent the extra money to get a better dado set, due the problems they had. Having said that I got this one and after using it for 2 projects I am very happy with my purchase. Simply put, this dado set is definitely a quality product that you can see from the first time you pick it up. At first I was overwhelmed with the installation as I've never used it, but after watching a few videos the overload quickly went away. I won't say the instructions are perfect because they aren't. When I first used this I used 2 blades and 2 choppers and didn't realize I had one of the choppers set up the wrong way with the teeth pointing the wrong way. I actually cut about 6 boards this way until I figured out what I did. I take great responsibility for this error, but I think the instructions could have been more detailed and emphasized the importance of chopper blade placement, especially if you are new and have never used them. The groove set was not damaged at all, in fact the cuts I made didn't even have any ill effects. Now I know! I still give this set 5 stars and money well spent. Once you use a dado set you will never try to use a regular saw to cut dados and the like ever again.
