Review on Waveshare High-Precision AD/DA Expansion Shield Board for Raspberry Pi with πŸ“ˆ ADS1256 DAC8532 Sensor Interface – Unlocking High-Precision AD/DA Capabilities for Raspberry Pi by Simon Connelly

Very Loud: Computers and Accessories

The Raspberry Pi's Wi-Fi introduces 10mV of noise into both the ADC and DAC - these 16-bit components should have a noise floor below 100uV. That makes it unusable for my application. If you don't use WiFi, you might be able to get it to work. It works well with Teensy 4.0 (Arduino on steroids) which has no Wi-Fi but has a high speed USB serial port.

Pros
  • Computer Components
Cons
  • Almost everything is included
