Review on πŸ”§ POWERTEC 71391 Precision Miter Gauge System: 24” x 3” Track Fence with 27 Stops for Table Saws by Khaled Ribeiro

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great tool at a good price but requires calibration and documentation!

I needed an angle fence to replace the standard fence on my refurbished Rockwell/Delta band saw. Because a bandsaw's bevel slots are closer to the blade than a table saw's, it was difficult to find an accurate miter fence small enough to fit on a bandsaw. Powertec 71143 fits perfectly and cleans the blade easily. Looks very well made, good value and cheaper than many other similar (or identical) models. It is almost identical in design to some Incra models but costs less. Someone obviously stole someone else's design, but I don't know who was first. However, make sure you calibrate the Powertec BEFORE using it - despite its "factory calibrated" description, mine was off by almost 1-1/2 degrees when I tested it with a precision calibrated square. Easy enough to set up, but the gauge didn't come with instructions so I had to look it up online on the Powertec website. Starting deduction due to missing documentation and missing calibration on delivery. It's still a worthwhile purchase.
