I've had this on my wish list for a long time and I'm glad I finally got my hands on it. The instruments are made in Taiwan and have a high quality appearance. The plastic body is well made and durable. The ratchet has a black plastic insert on the handle but feels solid. I was worried it might be cheaply made, but it definitely isn't. The gears are smooth and the reverse lever is very easy to move with your thumb. It's not a fine tooth, but I like it because fewer teeth are stronger due to the larger size of the teeth used in the gears. I think that's about 36 teeth doing their job well. The sockets are really easy to identify with the color coding and the magnets are strong and secure. I like the 3/8" drive option for cases where a through ratchet won't work and a traditional extension ratchet is required. I don't change my oil every day but end up changing it a few times a month so this kit will definitely make the job easier. Very high quality set at a fair price. Update - I've added 2 items to make my set more versatile. Short pass through 3/8" extension and 3/8" square ratchet adapter with quick release. Both accessories were on sale for under $7. After using this set, I found that I often needed more clearance between the drain plug and the ratchet.
