These lights are fantastic. They are much more heavy duty than anything I could find at local retailers. I let these up outside all winter. Through several feet of snow and sub zero temperatures, these lights performed flawlessly in the spring. I didn't even have to replace any bulbs. If you are looking for outdoor string lights, I would highly recommend these.These have a two prong power plug. There is no ground wire. If you are going to string these up for lengths more than 10 feet, I would recommend using a tension wire and some zip strips as the wire for these is quite heavy and will sag. Tension wire will take a lot of strain off of the power wire for the lights. You can get this type of wire at any hardware store.
