I'm tired of turning on the low to medium water flow in my kitchen sink. I currently have a Moen faucet that prefers to turn on full power every time I try to use it. This is one of those with a handle. I have to fiddle with it to get a moderate flow. I tend to use way more water than I need each time I turn it on. I figured I would hook up to a faucet with a hot water bypass controlled by this 1/4" electric valve. I have a Chinese temperature controlled mixing valve that supplies hot water to the valve and I have a tee in it Discharge line with a check valve built into the outlet to prevent water from flowing back into the electronic valve from a conventional faucet Not in use I installed a button on the wall behind the sink to turn the valve on The 1/4" valve is large enough to create a hot water flow about half that of a typical kitchen sink faucet, saving me fiddling with the handle, saving me about half the water I used before. One important thing is that I installed a hot water pump circuit on the water heater so I don't have to run full hot water for 30 seconds or more to get hot almost instantly fresh water so that the electric valve works even better. . This small change makes using the kitchen sink much more comfortable while I cook and clean. I can't wait to see a reduction in my water bill.
