Review on Cuisinart SS 20 Thermal Single Serve Coffeemaker by Jasmin Rojas

K-Cup is a disaster!

The coffee maker was fine. Cup K is TERRIBLE! When the arrows don't line up, it looks like a coffee grinder explosion! When the arrows are aligned, the coffee entering the cup will be sprayed all over the maker, the cup (the smaller the cup, the less gets in) and the counter. Received over $200 and a brand I expected would have no issues on day one! Cleaning the craft is easy, I just wish they put the same effort into the k cup. K-Cup When the arrows are misaligned, all grounds exit the K-Cup and all grounds in the coffee and chamber. When the arrows are aligned, only part of the pierced k cup is completely covered with coffee grounds. You can't remove the cleaning part (a feature our old $100 coffee maker had), so the grounds get spilled all over the place when you try to scoop it out of the needle chamber and into the needle. It took me three times as long to clean the K-Cup Dispenser than to brew a cup of coffee using ground coffee. So I have no idea if the coffee itself is brewed well. We think the craft coffee taste was ok, nothing to justify the price but just ok. The thermally insulated coffee maker keeps it warm, k cup is good idk. I would like to note that the instructions are not that good. I had to look up the video to find out or they didn't include a full copy. Will return this disaster. I advise anyone who really wants to use K-Cup instead of buying it, if you're into decent craftsmanship and want to spend money on a product that you can only use halfway through, go for it!
