The best and fastest non-RAID PCIe sata card I could find

I went to college with a degree in computer science and computer science. I'm pretty computer savvy and this was the best non-raid PCIe sata card addon I could find. It uses one of two chipsets that I could (currently) find on Revain that support the PCIe 3.0 standard, which doubles the bandwidth compared to the previous PCIe 2.0 standard. This card uses the ASMedia ASM1166 chipset. Another chipset that supports PCIe 3.0 is the Zhiwei JMB585 chipset. Most add-on sata port cards you can find are usually PCIe 2.0 and only run at half the bandwidth of the newer PCIe 3.0 standard. It also works on the x4 slot compared to other options that work on the slow x1 slot. Harbor). Hypothetically, up to 30 hard drives can be connected to this card. I haven't tried this myself and I'm not sure how well it works. I wanted to use an external bay for multiple drives, but the power supply in these external bays does not support multiple high-performance 3.5" drives. They usually only support a few 2.5" drives, which require much less power. Now it doesn't matter what operating system you use to boot. The boot process is usually initialized by the BIOS. I had the exact opposite experience of the previous reviewer regarding booting the system. I recently upgraded to a mid-range computer system with a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro Wi-Fi motherboard. This is a new motherboard that was still on sale at Revain last Christmas. It has the latest bios. Despite this, it did not boot from any drive in UEFI mode. I had to use the motherboard's internal SATA connector to boot the system when running this add-on card in UEFI mode. But after switching to legacy support in the BIOS, I was able to boot from any drive connected to any port on this expansion card, including hard drives, Blu-ray drives, and DVD-ROM drives. If you run this card in UEFI mode, the BIOS screen will not show any attached drives and you will not be able to select any of them as the boot drive. I used up to all 6 ports on this card because I have a lot of hard drives and it was very stable and worked fine for almost 2 months (I bought this card in February 2021). I recommend this card, but you can experiment by running it in both Legacy and UEFI modes and see which works best on your motherboard.
