Kedsum 880GPH pump, power cord has been updated!

The other reviews are pretty spot on, great little pump for the price, you really can't beat it. It replaced a Total Pond 500GPH pump from HD and definitely has more power. I'm running in a 55 gal barrel that was chopped for aquaponics and is buried in the ground at least 2.5ft. is feeding both the top of the barrel and a row of dutch bucket plants. With the old pump, that costs over twice as much, my drip lines at the end of the buckets were barely flowing when I opened up the valve on the barrel to feed the grow bed / siphon. This pump gets enough water in the barrel grow bed to activate the siphon and feeds all the drip lines without issue. I will say it is a bit louder and does eat more power, but that's to be expected in a pump that has more power. I will add that prior reviews on the power cord being a non-grounded skinny wire are no longer accurate. The cord is a nice fully insulated, grounded 3 wire cord, but it's still a bit short. I'd say it's just about 6' in length. Nice improvement over the past cord that was on it, and the price is still great. Hopefully it runs for a few years ;)Edit: Ordered a second pump, this one came with a two prong, non grounded cord. Not sure if they're transitioning to grounded and they're still trying to get rid of the earlier model, but looks like it's hit or miss right now.

Pros
  • Ensures optimal water circulation for improved health of your fish and plants
Cons
  • The pump may be prone to clogging or becoming blocked
