I waited until I could buy new batteries to check because I was sure the batteries had to be dead. I bought four and changed each time thinking mine was defective. I bought new batteries two days ago, put one in each of my fridges and freezers... One in the kitchen and one in the garage... Once they hit 40 degrees. you go outside As soon as I take them out and they warm up to room temperature, the digital display starts working again. You are flawed. At least four that I have bought.
