In general I am satisfied with this lamp. Its brightness is more than twice as bright (actually measured) as my previous flashlight and half the size of the body. I can't say exactly how much this affects plant growth, but the luminosity measurements are definitely promising. My only complaint is that I have to turn the lights on at 100% brightness (both white and blue) because the dimming function uses PWM, which is very bad for my eyes. PWM is still 100% present, but much less than with dimming; With the light directly on the glass and the high water level, it's almost acceptable for short viewing times. Unfortunately this is a problem with most lamps made today and while they are better than all fluorescent lamps they cause increasing health problems for both humans and animals so I hope future models will use designs that do not flicker/pulse (at any speed ).
