Good light suitable for aquarium lighting

I have this light in my 10g betta tank and a cheap timer to run it, it works very well with plants I had to change the timer Cut off the cycle from 8 hours to 6 to combat a small outbreak of algae on my floating plant roots, but that involves buying a new lamp to figure out the best cycle. I have no complaints about the light, it splashes a bit with my sponge filter, continues to work and cleans very well, appears to be made of quality metal and has a good light blocking coating, I use…

Good product but high bounce rate.

I received this product in January of this year and decided to wait six months before writing a review. The good news is an inexpensive, beautiful and bright aquarium light. I got it for my plants and it does the job really well. The biggest issue I've encountered is its reliability. Already in six months about 8 LEDs have died. Also, about 6 of them look a lot darker than the rest. At this rate, I'll have to buy a new headlight in less than a year. If I were you, I'd rather spend more money…

Perfect for low tech nano batteries

This Nicrew SkyLED Plus is amazing! It far exceeded my expectations! There are day and night modes, the intensity of both can be adjusted. Day mode at maximum settings is very bright and the color is very white. Perfect fit for my low tech nano tank. Currently used in a 3 gallon aquarium planted in low to moderate light, no filter, no CO2. The 18-24 inch model features adjustable brackets to allow the bracket to be conveniently placed over a low profile tank. So far, so good. The lamp heats up…

Excellent LED light for even aquarium lighting and live plants!

This little flashlight makes a lot of light! This is literally 1/2 the width of my other NICREW LED light and makes the same amount. Beautifully illuminates a 29 gallon tank. Also, I added some live plants and they are growing very well. NICREW is the only light source in the tank, so it does the job perfectly! NOTE: There is some natural driftwood in the aquarium which will release tannins into the water giving the whole a slightly darker, more reddish brown color. The LEDs shine in pure…

Broke after 2 months actually only used a month

Complete junk, worked fine for about 2 months, was on a timer then my daughter noticed it wouldn't turn on for her tank. It was over glass, not open water. Tried different outlets, doesn't turn on like before, tried many times. I don't see an option for a return, but if the seller contacts me and offers a return I'll let everyone know. Update: Nicrew was quick to respond to my return request and offered me a replacement for their newer model without sending another one back. I took the switch…

Very bright but gets very hot.

Excellent light for its price. I have it on a 5.5 gallon aquarium. I wanted to add another light already included. I have to say that thing is super bright. I have a photo for comparison. I'm sure the tank will grow like crazy with both. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because when I received it there was a wire sticking out of the plating. I wanted to return it and customer service agreed, but I removed the panel and reinstalled the cord when I needed the light. It was a cosmetic issue

Love love love these lights!

I have nothing but good things to say about these lights! I was blown away by how high quality they are, how strong they are and how beautifully they light up the pool. I have daylight and moon settings as I like and they stay that way. I have a mysterious snail tank and the moonlight is so dim it seems like it's at night and I can set up day and night lighting the way I prefer. I expected such lamps to cost more but they are so cheap. If they continue to work as well as they do now (I've only…

Bright light in a small body

In general I am satisfied with this lamp. Its brightness is more than twice as bright (actually measured) as my previous flashlight and half the size of the body. I can't say exactly how much this affects plant growth, but the luminosity measurements are definitely promising. My only complaint is that I have to turn the lights on at 100% brightness (both white and blue) because the dimming function uses PWM, which is very bad for my eyes. PWM is still 100% present, but much less than with…

Highly recommended! best in aquarium lights

Tried to show as many photos as possible with all lighting options. Remember that if you think the light is off when you arrive, you have to press the center button for 3 seconds to make it light up, then switch between dark and light modes with a single press of the center button can change. Once activated, you can press up (bright) or down (dark) to make dimmer variations. I have a 125 liter tank and bought the 2 largest sizes (think 30-36 inches) and put them on either side. There is my…
