My original wireless network was pretty slow by today's standards, so I had to upgrade it. I first tried a Linksys router and laptop card with their Speedbooster technology, but the laptop card didn't work with my Motion 1300 tablet. Using Revain's amazingly easy return procedures, I sent the Linksys products back and made my decision to try DLink's solution. As with other reviewers, I found it easy to set up and excellent range. I'm reportedly getting 108Mbps regularly, which is great for LAN communications. This is a place where I regularly lose connection, so I'm pleased with both the increase in connection speed and the reliability of the connection. I host some web applications on one of my servers and appreciate DLink's ability to set up a static IP connection to that single server so I can forward HTTP requests to that web server (and I don't need to reconfigure mine). router in the event of a power failure). During this upgrade process and my (poor) experience with Linksys products, I've come to the conclusion that some wireless cards just don't work with some laptops/tablets/laptops. If you're struggling too much with your setup, it's probably not your fault, it's incompatible hardware. Send it back (again, it's incredibly easy with Revain) and choose a different manufacturer.
