I just received my 2nd DVR for a different room. It picks up more channels than the first. The remote is larger. There was a learning curve with the first, but the 2nd was easy to set up because I'm familiar with how it works. I like this one so much I recommended it to my mother and she ordered one too. Definitely recommend.This is a good DVR. The stations received are crystal clear -- CBS, NBC and KTLA in Santa Monica, CA to name a few (over 60 channels in total). My TV picked up a few more local channels (including ABC, Fox and MyTV) that this unit did not. Luckily Sling TV gives me the ABC and Fox show must-haves on demand (for next day viewing). Recording is tricky, but since I figured it out, it works fine (though a "weekday" instead of "daily" recording feature would be preferable -- I simply unplug the USB drive on the weekend to avoid having to reset). If all continues to go well, I might buy another.
