This notebook contains 20 sheets of cold-pressed watercolor paper (medium texture). Each sheet measures 8.3" x 11.7" and weighs 140 pounds, so it won't warp much even when wet (though it's still best to secure it with tape). It consists of 100% cotton and is therefore easier to process than cellulose paper. He took the watercolor well and felt in control (as watercolor always is) allowing me to paint in more detail. It soaked in evenly and I was pretty good at picking up bugs when they were still wet. (I didn't try to lift the color after it dried.) It also allows for layering/glazing. The sheets are glued together at one end to form a pillow.
