The rough outer flange of this unit is 16 x 16 [body OD 13 x 13] (as shown in the pictures), NOT 18" x 17.3 or whatever they are listed. This is important for those who eg building an RO into a wall or cutting a wall panel without a block in hand while waiting for a block to arrive.which I ALMOST did, but luckily as another reviewer warned me, didn't.Thank you!So just pay up front.why on earth they still support the myth that this thing is the wrong size i dont know.possibly old sizes.will change to 5 stars if they fix it.otherwise this box is of good Quality (like all Schlueter products imo) and works as advertised when/when installed correctly - EricAll WINKEL • Tiles and bathtub.
