Review on DROK 300001 Micro LED DC-DC Digital Boost Voltage Converter Adjustable Volt Regulator Board Module Power Supply Transformer by Brad Cash

Doesn't hold power :/

I bought this to power our wireless internet bridge (24vdc input) with a 12v SLA battery. I bought this converter instead of the others at Revain because I had previously bought a DROK buck converter which is very similar to this boost converter and I really liked it so I was hoping this model would impress me. .Some thoughts on this model - - Screw terminals are ok but a bit cheaper than other converters I've bought - Pointometer seems very cheap; sometimes you go down and the power stays steady for a while and then suddenly jumps in one direction or another (yes, sometimes it ramps up when you turn it off). And sometimes it will go slowly, then suddenly jump almost a volt. So be sure to use high sensitivity and probably do not connect a sensitive load when adjusting the output voltage - the built-in digital voltmeter is not very accurate. mine is almost half a volt down compared to my DVM and another DROK box I have. And unlike other DROC models, it seems like you can't calibrate it either. Therefore, the voltmeter stays off, which is sad. So far when you finally dial the voltage it seems to be holding up pretty well. The load I can handle is around 0.2A so I can't say how it performs at higher load but so far everything looks fine which is really important. So, my conclusion, at least after owning it. for every 5 hours if you need a voltmeter buy another one. But if you're just concerned about keeping the output stable and don't plan on tweaking it after you've tweaked it, this will probably work just fine. **UPDATE (next morning)** When I woke up this morning I went to see how it worked and the output voltage dropped almost half a volt overnight so I had to adjust it again. Hopefully it stays stable this time, but if it proves unreliable and I need to tweak it regularly, I'll end up returning it and picking up one of the others. **UPDATE 2 (next day)** When I got home from work last night the voltage had dropped almost half a volt again. So I tried setting it again and went through the same tedious process of trying to set the voltage as it randomly jumped up and down when I tried to get it back to 23.8V (because it was so unreliable, at that point I have set it to just under 24V in case it decides to jump rather than fall.) **UPDATE (next morning)** When I got up this morning the voltage dropped. jumped off the 23.8v I set to 24.1v last night :/ So I disconnected my jumper from that and reconnected an old wall wart I was looking to replace and sent an RMA to Revain to get it back, which is sad :/ I hope I just got an unreliable block and the others are ok but unfortunately this one just gave me trouble :/
