Description of DROK 300001 Micro LED DC-DC Digital Boost Voltage Converter Adjustable Volt Regulator Board Module Power Supply Transformer

Input voltage: DC3-34V;Output voltage: DC 4-35V(Continuously adjustable);Max input current:3A;Max output current:2.5A. With the function of voltmeter, can display the voltage of both input and output, high accuracy(+/-0.1V), wide measuring range(DC 0-40V). Short press the button can switch the voltage display between input and output, red LED lights on when testing input voltage and green LED lights on when testing output voltage. Press and hold the button 3sec can shut down the LED display, press it again can open it. With wiring terminals, can be conveniently used without soldering, and the module also have solder wire connection point.

Simple enough to check voltages with another multimeter

I've had one since 2015 and use it often. It works, is stable and very practical. I would give it five stars but the built in voltmeter does not correspond to about 0.5 volts output. It's easy enough to check the voltages with another multimeter, and that doesn't detract from its usefulness. Edit: Oh one more thing. According to the product description, the device has green and red LEDs. I have two red ones. The LED closest to the display is the input and the other is the output.

Good quality small DC/DC booster

Works great with my Anker 21w solar panel and boosts the voltage to 7v to run my Guide 10 Plus charger from the solar port (higher power and faster charging time than USB input). I like that it maintains the output voltage when it's a little cloudy. It lowers the input voltage to around 3.5 volts, but supports 7 volts very well. (of course with less power). I had to purchase a 2.5mm USB adapter ($3.99) which I cut in half for the input and output jacks for any device with a DROK amp in the…

This is currently used to step up the voltage from 4 ohms.

Currently used to boost the voltage of 4 NiMH AA batteries to run a 0.7A 12V water pump. Increasing the voltage from 5V to 12V resulted in a Heating of the capacitors, so I glued copper heatsinks. At 7V it doesn't seem to get warm. The output voltage seems very close to what it shows. However, recently, the screen flickers during use and sometimes displays the input/output voltage randomly or briefly. This is odd considering the screen was normally off when a load was connected to the output…

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Low Repairability

Well constructed boost converter that performs well over the specified input and output voltage range (assuming Vout > Vin). The built-in meter has an accuracy of ±100 mV. The switching frequency is in the range of 49-50 kHz; EMI is relatively low for open circuit (open) PS switching mode. Output voltage regulation is better than 2% for a nominal input voltage range of 5-30VDC and an output load of up to 2.5A. Overall, this is an excellent but cost-effective boost converter for general…

Screw terminals are fairly cheap hence 4 stars instead of 5. It works well at a range of voltages and I've checked with my DMM that the reading is accurate. The other commenters are right though, it's quite hard to get the thing as the pot is pretty cheap too. I've had a couple of times where I reduced the voltage and the output actually went up quite a bit. This will never be enough to fry most circuits, but I'd recommend dialing it in with a DMM and then hooking up your circuit if you have…

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Not working as expected

I have bought and used DROK products in the past and have always been very satisfied but this one was disappointing. It did not work with a 12 VDC x 1 amp "wall" DC power supply, and it did not work with a 12 VDC x 4 amp "brick" DC power supply. I have used DROK Boost DC/DC converters in combination with "box" type DC switching power supplies in the past and had no problems. In fact, I've written rave reviews about them. However, when I tried this DC boost converter in combination with the…

Doesn't hold power :/

I bought this to power our wireless internet bridge (24vdc input) with a 12v SLA battery. I bought this converter instead of the others at Revain because I had previously bought a DROK buck converter which is very similar to this boost converter and I really liked it so I was hoping this model would impress me. .Some thoughts on this model - - Screw terminals are ok but a bit cheaper than other converters I've bought - Pointometer seems very cheap; sometimes you go down and the power stays…
