A beautifully designed boost converter that performs much better than the spec says.
Well constructed boost converter that performs well over the specified input and output voltage range (assuming Vout > Vin). The built-in meter has an accuracy of ±100 mV. The switching frequency is in the range of 49-50 kHz; EMI is relatively low for open circuit (open) PS switching mode. Output voltage regulation is better than 2% for a nominal input voltage range of 5-30VDC and an output load of up to 2.5A. Overall, this is an excellent but cost-effective boost converter for general voltage conversion applications, including charging of medium-power photovoltaic arrays.
