This is a gooseneck ball. WAY for the price. These balls shouldn't cost more than $50. This makes the release function very easy when new. Time will tell how it will be after it's filled with mud and sand. Pairs well with my factory ram hitch, no bouncing or side to side rocking. On others I prefer a metal mount over a plastic mount due to the nut inside the gooseneck adapter like RVs.
