Review on XPEL Clear Universal Protection R3022 by Rubeen Black

Works as described, every time

I have installed XPEL on the door sills of every car I have owned for the last 10 years. The product works exactly as described. This is a low profile, fully transparent security strip. The previous installation on my sedan lasted eight years with no color change, lifting or blistering. I recently installed this in both my car and my wife's car. Installation guides and videos show exactly how to install the product. My only additional installation advice is to use a very large amount of soapy water. However, if you use a large amount of grout, you can move the bar to its final position and then press it into place. If you make a mistake you can simply lift one side of the strip and spray on more soap/water solution before reapplying. I was able to remove almost all of the small blisters from each of the legs on all four doorsteps. Don't worry about extra small imperfections or liquid residue under the strips. Over time this will dissipate. Be sure to thoroughly clean the surface with an alcohol-based solution to remove any dirt or oils. I checked each sale separately 2 or 3 times before installing. This eliminates the need to remove the wet strip to read residue and then reapply it. I did not remove one of the protective strips. So I can't comment on issues with paint stripping or damage. However, from what I've read it is compatible with exterior paint and should not cause damage when removed. For the price this is a great investment to keep your vehicle's high traffic area as good as new. When installed, it is almost invisible to the naked eye. I will continue to use XPEL products to protect all my vehicles.
