I bought this XPEL PPF to protect my Tesla Model Y aluminum front door sill. Easy to cut with a sharp cutter and scissors before installation. Before applying, I cleaned the aluminum sill plate with a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. I then sprayed a liberal amount of baby shampoo/water solution onto the front and back of the strip. Perfect threshold solution for me! I didn't want my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited door sills to be taped in place with plastic tape. This rocker strip from XPEL is amazing! The width was good as I didn't have to trim anything. Simply cut to length and apply to a clean surface (I wiped with isopropyl alcohol and let dry).
