🔧 Highly Efficient Rust Treatment - 1 Qt Bottle, Opaque Solution Review

Tried some other products, marine jelly etc and was disappointed. This product is a bit more expensive but I have found it works better where rust is present and is able to stabilize the surface and prevent further oxidation.

We have used this product in the paper industry to clean rusty/corroded internal components in process plants. It reacts with (rust) to form a permanent primer that washes off with water. The extension works fine. It's not "cheap" but worth the money. I had to have something at home, so I found something at Revain. I'm sure there are other similar products out there, but I know this product can withstand the harshest of environments.

This is a good product at a reasonable price. Easy to apply and as advertised, Rust transforms into a stable base ready to be painted. I had a few rust spots on the underside of a pickup truck, after applying this product I was completely satisfied that the rust had stabilized. I applied some bondo to that area because there wasn't enough metal. Excellent repair that I am sure will last for many years.

This product was amazing. I recently bought an Explorer 99. I didn't notice the degree of rust under the doors. I used something similar a few years ago and it was pretty good. But this product is much better. Don't waste your money on other rust treatment products. It's amazing and dries faster than others. I ended up wearing two coats and am very happy with them. Excellent goods. Highly recommended.

This liquid is nothing short of amazing at stopping rust and creating a black finish on rusted metal that can be painted over if necessary. A word of caution, I would wear some sort of latex gloves when using this product. When applied to bare skin, it turns everything it touches into a black color that cannot be removed. This material is great and works as advertised but works very well if you brush the rust off the surface with a wire brush. Applying this coating to unpolished rust will give a suboptimal result. Removing surface finish and then applying Loctite to incompletely oxidized metal will produce a dark gray to black layer that isolates the surface from oxygen/water. I always liked this material even when it was called Duro Extend. If directions are followed, rust (on steel) will turn into an inert black substance which can then be primed and painted. And while I'm using it, the corrosion doesn't come back easily. (Remember rust never sleeps so it will come back eventually no matter what product you use. This is the ONLY material for rusting metal (also a matching Henkel product - just match part number 75430). I used this decades ago when I worked on cars where I would then apply fiberglass/polyester/bondo to the rust repair area (when I was young and poor and couldn't afford new metal!).
