I honestly don't get along with those who say the shoes are "2 sizes too small" or those who suggest "ordering two sizes up from your usual shoe size". My daughter usually wears a size 8 in regular shoes and as a sketch I ordered a size and a half bigger (9.5) knowing that fun shoes often run small. These shoes were too big for her, so big I feel like a size 9 would still be bigger than we would like. We order 8.5, hope they fit.
