Review on 🌿 Woodland Baby Sampler Cross Stitch Kit - Design Works Crafts, 12 x 13 inches by Nicole Mcleod

I have been doing cross stitch for many years. I bought this kit to sew a friend's new baby; the pattern looked cute and i liked the border. The kit was sealed when I received it. The threads were, well, not of the best quality; They bind easily and don't feel as smooth as DMC, but I'm turned on. I suppose it would be possible to change the threads with DMC, but then why pay for a kit? The chart/grid is REALLY hard on the eyes (and even more so on the BRAIN). The symbols they chose to represent each color were a terrible choice; Many of them look very similar, making what should be a simple project more frustrating than it should be. Also the colors of the threads do not match the picture as expected. This is my first time with Tobin's set - and probably the last time I'll finish this one.
