Review on Cable Matters DisplayPort DVI Adapter by Mike Wheeler

This adapter has screw holes for attaching a DVI cable, which is very convenient. Not all adapters fit. I connected the DVI cable, carefully tightened the screws, and then connected the display port end to my computer. Satisfactorily solid blocking of the DisplayPort connector and everything looked fine. The system booted and from the first boot everything was perfect including the post screen, bios screens, windows etc. Everything was perfect. This is a Dell i5 desktop running Windows 8. I'd say the release on the display port end is a hard push and snaps into place fairly securely. So if you need to be plugging and unplugging a lot then mitigation might be needed, but for my purposes it's so perfect.
