Light weight, decent build, high magnification, decent price. An excellent portable telescope for non-professional recreation in a compact form factor. I'd say it's nice and cheap for a young person to play with, but with such a high magnification and small lens it can be too difficult for a small child to keep anything sharp or centered. But for my situation it's perfect. The tiny compass isn't of very good quality and requires a lot of work to get an accurate bearing, but I personally thought it was more of a nice giveaway with a telescope.
