Not nearly as good as a Garmin

Got this unit after owning a Garmin 2610 for many years Graphically looks good with 3D view and all but that's about it already. I find the interface much more user friendly compared to Garmin. What I also don't like is the fact that the device doesn't come with any software to plan a route and manage POIs on your computer. Everything has to be done on the device itself, which is a bit of a hassle when preparing for a big trip. A lot of the annoying things about this device are just not configurable. For example, I like to see my speed on the display. But TomTom thinks that the speed should flash red (very difficult to see) when you exceed the speed limit by more than 10%. It's pretty annoying. Not to mention the device has the wrong speeds for many roads, so it's not very useful anyway. Overall, I don't think I would buy another TOmTom. The only reason I tried this was because I live in the UK temporarily and the TomTom seems to be the most popular device here. So I thought I'd give him a chance. Never again. I love Garmin.
