UPDATE: got a replacement, used! Don't bother buying those garbage hole saws. I bought this to make holes for regular 1-1/8" sockets and bluesea gauges. The teeth are thin enough to be used on everything from wood to metal (I've mostly used it on ABS) and the bit is small enough that you don't need a pilot hole if you make a dent where you want the hole to center . However, this item does not meet quality control and build quality requirements. The blade is simply a piece of metal bent around some sort of mandrel and then welded to the base. This means that my particular hole saw was completely out of round. I only noticed this by looking at it after cutting a few (rough!) holes. Using a caliper I found it was 27.80mm on the small diameter and 28.95mm on the other. NOT very useful when you need to make very precise holes, and certainly not the advertised 28.6mm! To be honest, I expected more from the DeWalt brand, especially from a tool made in the USA! It's a shame that it even left the factory with peeling paint and bad tolerances.
