Review on Coolibar Women's Skirted Swim Capris: Ultimate Style and Sun Protection for Women's Clothing by Maurice Jimenez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great concept and great execution!

I was looking for sunscreen and something to cover my legs. Here's the answer! While at the pool and on the beach someone said "I'm not going to be the trendiest," at least I can walk out with my head held high and spare them the sight of my thighs. While browsing the surf camp website I saw a pretty young girl in a swim caper in one of their photos, so hey! They are there. I'm 5ft 6in, 158# and I don't like my clothes being skin tight. I wear a 12 in Kohl's Gloria V. Amanda jeans, although I could wear a 10. Other than that, the average size is perfect. in those capris. Tight enough to feel secure in the water but not tight enough to show every cotton ball. This is UPF 50 swimwear material and will likely take a little longer to dry on top as there is more material. with attached skirt. The inner waistband (back half only) has grippy stripes. There is a gusset at the crotch so you don't have to wear anything underneath. and saddlebags to give you the best silhouette. A longer skirt makes no sense as some of the leggings will already cover you. The "belt" is 3 1/4 inches. Top of waistband to bottom of skirt measures 11.5" at the sides and 12" at the center, front and back, slightly elongating the legs. Another feature is a small pocket with a hole at the top of the waistband seam that you can slip your ID or credit card in while you're in the pool. It can't be closed with a zipper or velcro so it's not 100% secure but if you had one it would add more bulk. I think they are great for jogging and especially cycling, not just swimming and surfing. As an added bonus, the navy color goes really well with my Lands End tankini tops.
