Review on Timeless Style: Kikkerland Vintage Streamline Kitchen Timer in Ravishing Red by Heather Rodriguez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Beautiful as in the picture, but there are assembly problems and a weak shaft

Looks very nice. The metal body is strong. It suffers from two problems: 1) the ring you turn to set the time sits on a weak shaft and bends easily, causing friction on the case and stopping the timer, and 2) assembly issues. The first one I bought had the ring set so close to the body that the gap was very small and there was no way to center the shank. He came with a ring touching the body. He will suddenly stop. I have another one that had a much bigger gap. Even though the ring was touching, I was able to bend and center it. Now it works like any other timer but I have to be careful with the dial. The instructions say to go to 55 and then come back at the desired time, but I've found that you only have to go a little and come back like other mechanical timers. The first also had a dial mounted. close. The second was much better, but this one isn't on the counter. The bottom of the base is deformed, not dented enough, or worn backwards. It's hard to tell because it's covered by a piece of styrofoam. The first sat up nicely. This annoys me, but I don't want to send another one. It works out. That is beautiful.

Pros
