Yes I admit I fell for the hype and bought BOLT coupler locks because every truck owner who uses GEN Y couplers demonstrates and uses them. I've watched many videos on YouTube of truck owners using them to secure their trailers and tow heavy loads. I bought a cheap hitch lock about a year ago which I used on hitch accessories but I don't trust towing because it feels cheap and useless. and required me to carry an extra key on my keychain. A really good selling and selling point of a BOLT hitch lock is that you use your existing truck key. I highly recommend using the BOLT website to determine exactly which model number fits your vehicle. Without confirmation there, you are most likely buying the wrong model number, meaning a particular lock is for a different style key than what you actually have. After figuring out exactly what model number I needed for my 2019 Silverado, it didn't take me long to search other websites to find that Revain had the lowest price for that item. The lock itself plus shipping would cost between $5-$15 more if I bought it from Bolt, Geny or somewhere else. It is very easy to program the lock onto your key, the instructions are as simple as it gets. . This is a product I would buy again if the need arose and I would buy it as a gift for friends or family who need a hitch lock.
