Stops working after a few months

Cheap construction, won't last forever, don't waste your money! I should have paid more attention to the "it doesn't work anymore" reviews. mine died within a few months even with little use. No matter which port I use, USB-C or USB with adapter, my MacBook Pro no longer recognizes a card that I plug in.
