I used to have a lot of experience with pottery, so I was glad to buy this set. Farberware is a well known company, the colors were beautiful and being a ceramist I was hoping to avoid the health issues associated with non stick cookware. However, right out of the box I was disappointed by how flimsy the set looked. The knobs didn't feel very secure, although I used a screwdriver to tighten them. The pots and pans were light, but not in a good way. It just didn't feel strong. I still tried to get through. We're not big chefs, so it was surprising how quickly the set wore out. I made sure to hand wash and not use the dishwasher, but the ceramic began to chip very early on and the white ceramic was badly discolored. We only used plastic or wooden utensils and avoided metal cutlery, but the utensils were still scratched. I had high hopes for this set but had to replace the entire set within a year of purchase.
