Review on πŸ”’ Enhanced Small Slotted Polyurethane Jack Pad Frame Protector for Universal Use by TMB by Dube Jansen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sturdy polyurethane jack mount - does the job if used wisely

Although made of polyurethane they are quite stiff and much smoother, more slippery, 'plastic' than 'rubber'. They take on the function of a flexible "buffer" between the seat of the jack and the thin-walled tubes of the frame of my fragile car. I had to widen the slots a bit to fit my light race car's jack points due to the screw heads on the jack points, but after modification they seem to work fine. They're certainly "slippery" than the softer rubber pads I've used before, but work well when the jack saddle is perfectly parallel to the surface of the jack's pivot point. It's fine on a smooth, flat garage floor, it's the only place I would use them, but it can be an issue if you want to use them to change tires on a rough road surface. You have to be very careful to make sure they don't move or slip out. The slot appears to be designed for use on vehicles with flanged welds at the jack points, but the slot is only 9mm wide and 9mm deep. , therefore not suitable for many vehicles with "higher" flange welds. Also, these pads are only 62mm in diameter, making them suitable for small cars and jacks. Using them on a 4-1/4 inch wagon saddle to raise a 5000 lb SUV is probably a very bad idea. slip and for jack placement when the jack seat is not exactly parallel to the car's jack points.
