Review on AcuRite 00325 Comfort Monitor Black by Heidi Nelson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not bad compared to other AcuRite products

I run a guitar repair shop and it is very important to maintain a constant humidity level of between 45% and 50% control and maintain %. At the same time, I need to keep hygrometers that maintain stable readings. Please see my photos to see what I found: A white digital hygrometer I purchased from Home Depot over a year ago. It was pretty consistent and reliable. The black and silver is what I'm reviewing here, while the horizontal black is also an optional purchase. Any of them can be in my shop, in a guitar case, or in my pantry. AcuRite 00325 appears to be quite similar to the white AcuRite (model not sure). I had all three of them sit together in a corner of my store about five feet from my dehumidifier for about a week. The two AcuRites rarely differed by more than 1 percentage point (2 percentage points in a photo). 00325 tends to be larger than the other model. And both were more accurate than the third (verified elsewhere). Overall, the 00325 seems to track well when I take it to a box, outside, or another drier part of the building. I give 4/5 stars because I have doubts about the accuracy of the device but I expect it to be useful in my business.

Pros
  • Reliable and accurate readings: thermometer and hygrometer probe can report readings quickly
Cons
  • Good, but not great
