Good hubs are good for hubs
A few months ago I got a USB hub for my new MacBook Pro. It worked fine for a few months but soon became unreliable - notably the status light kept blinking like it was still booting and it wouldn't mount my SD cards. The Afterplug USB C Hub is sleek and looks great with my MBP. It snaps securely into place and I mount my SD cards instantly. I've also used the HDMI port at work to show slideshows to my co-workers. It's compact and fits easily in my laptop bag. Consider me extremely pleased.
