First I used an allen wrench to tighten the set screw. Then I heard the blade begin to rub against the attic fan housing. Luckily I was in the attic and immediately turned off the fan. I removed the motor and blade assembly. Although I tightened the set screw with the allen wrench as hard as I could, the blade came loose. Be sure to use an Allen wrench to tighten the set screw of this fan blade. Since re-tightening the set screw, my fan has been running fine for a few weeks. Also, make sure you install the fan blade so that the air moves in the right direction.
