The product arrived quickly. It was well packaged and included batteries to work. It's very durable and bigger than I expected. It has a nice sturdy handle that's long enough to reach the oven and check the meat. Very easy to clean. I bought this specifically for the Thanksgiving turkey, a 10 pound bird. Since my bird was a bit smaller, it took me some practice to figure out where to best place the tines to get the correct reading. The block is not to blame. This would be ideal for a larger bird or a large roast. I used the 20-minute-per-pound calculation most of the time and sometimes ended up with a little blush on my breastbone. Not this time. While I was still checking the time, the thermometer confirmed that the bird was done. I look forward to using it to cook ribs for Christmas.
