for the price. However, grinding down the chain pin head to be removed is quite necessary as the push pin seems willing to bend and/or break under much greater force. Again, that's to be expected from a tool that costs less than lunch in many places. The reason it only gets 4 stars is that the push rod assembly is too short compared to the C-frame. While it does an excellent job of disassembling the chain itself, the colorful tongue kicks in when you realize that the chain segment you just removed is stuck in the tool due to a pushed through chain pin, which is now stuck in the other side plate. The solution seems to be to turn the large (tube) nut on the already empty chain link, use the full stroke of the push pin to move the chain pin as far away from the opposite side plate as possible, and then pull it out with a set of clamp pliers. .

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Useless features
