I don't know why some people don't like this gun! It shoots staples up to 1" and nails up to 1-1/4". Using an extension will definitely weaken the gun, so I suggest using a short extension and 12 gauge cable, at least if you really need it. and most nails go all the way in. All I had to do was finish a few nails with a hammer. The idea is that this is a very handy weapon for small projects. You can get so much out of a stun gun with these things. Otherwise, you need to buy a more powerful air gun. So don't expect a perfect product, but if you can use 1-1/4 inch nails for small projects, this gun works great! Do not use an extension and apply pressure to the top of the gun head while driving the nails in - take your time driving the nails in and they will sink in completely. Anyway - for small and quick projects this thing is amazing! For convenience and price I definitely rate this hotel 5 stars.
