TL;DR - A bit difficult to fix at first because I've never done it before but figured it out. The modem works as expected and I've had almost no problems on my end since it was activated. Good speed for streaming and casual browsing. It works well with Netgear Wifi router. Troubleshooting Details: Initially it wasn't working with my cable provider's internet, but I took 2 steps to fix it. First I went to "Network Status" -> "Details" -> "DHCP" and enabled DHCP. This allows it to provide an IP address to a host on the internet. Mine was initially disabled. Netgear customer support wanted to charge me a service fee to do this remotely. If you have IT or technical experience, you can probably fix the errors yourself. Then after a few calls the right customer representative at my ISP dropped something on their site to read that IP address and it worked great.
