Review on πŸ”Œ Kester443-845 24-9574-7618 K100Ld Lead-Free No Clean Wire Solder: Affordable Low-Cost Alloy with .031" Diameter by Justin Santiago

Good alloy but weak flux 275

I'm a big fan of the Kester K100LD. This is a 63/37 type eutectic that I like to use. My only complaint about this solder wire is that the 275 flux core is weak and I often have to add more flux or the solder doesn't flow properly. The addition of Kester 951 Flux is a good combination with this solder. If you want the best lead free solder I recommend Kester 48 flux. The flux is much stronger and the solder flows better.

Pros
  • Melting point: 441Β°F
Cons
  • String is shorter than other picks
